6th International Sea-Kayaker’s Meeting – 15 to 23 August 2015 – Belle-Ile – Locmaria / Bretagne / France
Once again this year, the association Connaissance du Kayak de mer (CK/mer) is organising an international seakayaking meeting, from the 15th to the 23rd of August 2015. It will take place on the island of Belle-Ile, at the municipal campsite of Port Andro in Locmaria, a small and typical Breton village of the Morbihan department (56360).
This event should allow kayakers from far and wide to meet in a beautiful setting, to share their experiences and love of the sea whilst
enjoying a unique opportunity to paddle either in sheltered waters or on the open sea.
The idea is simple : each participant will be self-sufficient and responsible as regards his own kayaking and camping equipment. He will organise his own outings depending on his abilities, his interests, his encounters with others…or even his mood !
Obviously, each of us will be fully responsible for his/her own navigating decisions, and should be covered by a proper insurance for any damage he/she might suffer or cause to third parties.
The CK/mer international sea kayaker’s meeting will be hosted at the municipal campsite of Port AnDro. Please note, however, that we recommend using tents for a more convivial stay. Families are of course welcome.
CK/mer members will gladly share their knowledge of local resources (e.g. shopping facilities in Locmaria, 3 km away). Our meeting is intended to foster encounters, friendships, sharing as well as the freedom to be independent. We hope you will seize this opportunity to come paddling with us and to discover a beautiful environment. We expect that this week will be rich in discoveries and a source of great enjoyment for all of us.
